As some of you may know, GW Wiki states that it's IMPOSSIBLE to get both these titles with the same character. I don't think it's fair, really. Many here (myself included) would be more than ready to try even given the slightest chance.

A solution would be simple: making mobs death-level with pets. Anyone can get a pet in pre without having to select the secondary profession.

Currently wiki says that the pets only give them xp on their first death so in other words we're screwed.

Fair? Couldn't you get something else to complain about? The Defender title was added for all those pre-searing nuts, why exactly is it not "fair"?

no one stops you from going for the survivor titles after you hit 20,it would only take a little bit more time.But if you have time to get legendary defender of ascalon that wont be an issue....

Why would you want this though. Alot of people say they want both because they want it towards PKM, but seriously, you should've looked up some more information about the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title. This title will cost you at least a month of deathleveling, there is ABSOLUTLY NO WAY to go through a month of sitting in front of your screen, ressing your pet. Seeing you're asking exactly that; go look for information before complaining.

As it is it can't be done. You can't death-level mobs by killing your pet. The solution I'm proposing is easy enough to implement imo.

I want to get the LDoA title and then move on to post with the survivor still intact. I don't reckon it's a crime. i'd say it almost give a bit more importance to the KoaBD, as both titles aren't amongst the easiest to get.

PS: lilanthe, I assure you there are ppl who would. I would, even if taking it extra, extra slowly.

PPS: Maximonster, I did look up wiki as I said in the 1st post, and since most thinkg it's the most reliable guide today, I went with what it said.

I dunno why you ppl are so jumpy about this. It's not like it's gonna hurt you if you don't wanna know about it.

I don't think you understand how Survivor works. After you've died for the first time, you're done. That's it. No title for you. Ever.

Note that I'm not agreeing with the OP; I just wanted to point out the flaw in this rebuttal.

You do know that if you die once, you cannot gain the Survivor title?

I would much rather see one lvl15 (or whatever it would require) charr boss added to pre so we could get LDoA by actually defending Ascalon instead of repeatedly dieing for Ascalon, but that's a separate issue.

I don't think they ever meant for this title to be easily obtained. After all, the only reason it was added was for those hardcore players that got to level 20 in presearing ascalon. They didn't have a title to go after, they did it for themselves, and after a while, ANet decided to give them a little reward.

To make the title easier to achieve would ruin the purpose of the title in the first place.

Frankly I don't see how staying for hours on end resurrectin your pet to death-level is easy.

I said I want them to make it possible, not easy, to get BOTH with the same char.

QFT the current title seems a bit bizarre considering how you actually get it; doesn't stop me going for it though. Chances of getting it changed are slim to none though.

Not sure how I feel about survivor and LDoA on the same character. Although it would be sweet, and they both count as max, you can't actually display them both at the same time. But having mobs death level with pets would be nice, as they would level twice as fast killing both my pet and me (if I decided not to go for survivor).

This is probably more trouble than it's worth. In order for the death process to function like you described, you'd need a reliable way to ensure that your pet always gets targeted before you do. If anyone can pull that off while still sitting AFK, I'd like to see how it's done.

probably be able to get both when u transfer titles in GW 2 anyway.

i know someone got both beofer by the guild hall lvling but that was nerfed, there was also a glitch which allowed people into hall from pre searing.

if they wanted to make this title easier they would of allowed hard mode in pre searing. They've said they're not gunna use hard mode in pre searing becuase the high lvl enemies

I'd suggest making another player death-level for you, but it's impossible since he won't res at the shrine unless you die too, and the only Res Skill in Pre-Searing is Res Sig (so you can res him only once)

Personally, i think the Legendary Defender of Ascalon title should be account-based and not character-based, so characters who left Pre-Searing before the title was added or characters created in Cantha and Elona will have a chance to get it (and that also lets you get both Survivor and LDoA)
